Saint Vincent and the Grenadines lies to the west of Barbados and south of St Lucia in the West Indies.

The Cumberland River Hydroelectric Scheme was a USAID project and included the construction of 7 kilometres of woodstath pipeline, a header tank, three powerhouses, associated weirs and road construction.
