The Third Turtle Club

Turks and Caicos Islands

Foxton

Project Management

The site of The Third Turtle Club is located in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, British West Indies. The original Third Turtle Inn which was built on the same site was the first hotel and restaurant on the island.

Ocean Point Developments appointed Foxton to manage the planning process, design and construction of the 440-bedroom, US$250 million, 7 hectare, condo-hotel resort featuring a 300 metre replenished beach, beach and bluff residences and a marina for motor yachts up to 50 metres.

The development was subject to intense controversy and lengthy legal disputes over local resident’s objections to the density and height of the buildings and the impact of the beach replenishment on the surrounding national park.

Foxton successfully reconfigured the master plan, redesigned the beach replenishment, redrafted the environmental impact assessment and obtained planning permission for the project.
